Why do I love Jesus? The answer to that question is really quite simple. I love Jesus because He first loved me!
We love, because He first loved us. 1 John 4:19 NASB
The next obvious answer that comes to my mind is equally as simple. I love Him simply for Who He is! He is worthy of my love and honor and praise because of Who He is. He is God! He is Savior! He is Redeemer! He is King! He is Lord! He is love!
"Worthy are You, our Lord and our God, to receive glory and honor and power; for You created all things, and because of Your will they existed, and were created.” Revelations 4:11 NASB
To help me with my own attitude and with the renewal of my own mind today, I decided to make a quick list of all the reasons I have to love Jesus. Here is what came off the top of my head is in the order in which they came to me.
I love Jesus because…
He brought me out of darkness.
He changed my identity forever.
He healed my broken heart.
He is with me always.
He is for me.
He forgave me of my sin.
He rescued me from certain death and destruction.
He broke the chains of sin that used to bind my mind.
He is my best Friend.
He is my Brother.
He carries me when I am weak.
He comforts me in sorrow.
He calls me by name.
He delights in my presence.
He surrounds me with songs of deliverance.
He has blessed me with the perfect wife.
He has blessed me with nine children.
He has blessed me with 11 ( so far ) grandchildren.
He has given me friends to walk alongside.
He fills my heart and soul with music.
He lets me see life from His point of view.
He loves me right where I am.
He loves me enough to not leave me there.
His name causes the enemy to flee from my mind.
He is my peace.
He is my provider.
He is my holiness.
He is my righteousness.
He is my victory.
He is my healer.
He is my shepherd.
He is my all in all.
I could go on and on, but you get the idea! I challenge you to make a list of all the reasons you love Jesus…and then thank Him for all the blessings that list reveals…and then, go and be like Him - imitate that love to those around you - by walking the journey of life in love!

Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children; and walk in love, just as Christ also loved you and gave Himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God as a fragrant aroma. Ephesian 5:1-2 NASB
